Application of Pharmacology in Medical Science
Pharmacology is the study of the action and uses of drugs. Pharmacology categorizes pharmacology as the study of the source, properties, physiological action, absorption, excretion, and therapeutic use of drugs. Where a drug can be broadly defined as any man-made, natural, or endogenous molecule which exerts a biochemical or physiological effect on the cell, tissue, organ, or organism. The clinical application of drugs or their use in actual medical practice is referred to as applied pharmacology.
